CLUB HISTORY

George Turnah Football Club , based in Kolo community, under the Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was founded in October, 2016, by a Bayelsa-born business mogul, Barrister Alabh George Turnah (MON).

The club was initially named Celtic Pride Football Club, which is the name of his conglomerate, but was later renamed George Turnah Football Club of Kolo, a month later. The team, made history as the third private-owned football club from Bayelsa State, was registered in the Country's Nationwide League one, on the 18th of January, 2017, and would make its debut in the 2016/2017 league season.

Barrister Alabh George Turnah, appointed ace youth Coach, Ada Gwegwe as the first-ever Coach to handle the team. George Turnah FC has currently played a number of friendly games as part of its preparation towards the 2016/2017 Nationwide League one season. Majority of the players enrolled into the team emerged from the selected lads from the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Unity Cup, 2014, a competition organised by Barrister Alabh George Turnah (MON) which featuted teams from all the communities from the Ogbia Local Government Area.
